We are pleased to have welcomed the initial cohorts of Apprentices onto the Engineering Technician Standards recently launched here at LEMA.

LEMAs first intake of 36 new Apprentices across its Birmingham and Black Country Academies are working towards their Level 3 Engineering Technician standards, which will enhance their Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours and lead to professional recognition by a Professional Engineering Institute. This is an important and positive step in the early part of a young persons career. LEMA provided it apprentices with ongoing information, advice and guidance alongside the teaching and learning activities, to ensure that the Apprentices are ready to take the next step in their careers on completion of their qualifications.

LEMA offer 3 pathways which offer specific specialist knowledge and skills; Machinist-Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Maintenance Technician, Technical Support Technician.

The pathways are proving popular with our employer partners, without whom we would not be able to support and develop the next generation of Engineering Technicians!

For more information on the Standard, or any specific pathway, please contact one of our LEMA academies.
